Good morning! You might be waking up to a scared dog like we did! The one scratches our heads to wake us up and it’s not a little cat scratch LOL. Feels like a bear attack LOL. Anyway, these storms will hang around through the morning, then we may get sunny later. If we get sunny later you can expect the temps to soar to near 90 degrees. If it stays cloudy, then the mid 80s are more likely. South winds 13-18mph with gusts to 25-30mph today as well. The heat and humidity is here to stay for about the next week at least. Tonight we should clear out with lows only dropping to the low 70s. South winds 8-13mph. There’s also going to be a batch of storms that should stay south of the state this afternoon. It’s worth keeping an eye on though.

 

If you work outside and must work outside for Monday and Tuesday, try to start early and finish early. The heat is going to be pretty bad with temps in the low 90s during the day and mid 70s at night. You can only drink so much to try and stay hydrated. This is our first big heat of the season. Heat stroke and exhaustion is NOT something you want to risk. Work will always be there the next day. You are replaceable at work, but not at home.

 

The rest of the week will still be hot and humid, but more manageable with temps in the mid 80s. It’s also going to be humid. So it might be a good idea to get in to work early those days as well.
