Good evening Southern Wisconsin! We saw some sunshine today and that helped melt the ice that formed on the roads! Tonight we will be cloudy with temps near 20. Some upper teens are possible. Winds will become light or calm overnight.
Snow is likely to begin tomorrow morning around mid morning or so. Snow could become moderate to heavy at times. Temps will rise to near 30 degrees. South winds will increase to 11-16mph and may cause some blowing snow. The morning commute should not be impacted, but things can change. Snow will continue into Thursday night and end as we get closer to morning. Right now, I am thinking 2-5″ for most of us with isolated amounts near 6″ north of Madison and MKE. Lows tomorrow night will drop to the mid 20s. South to north winds 8-13mph may cause some more blowing snow.
There’s a chance for some lingering snow flurries or light snow showers on Friday morning, but the accumulating snow should be done by then. Clouds will give way to some afternoon sunshine and temps will be near 30 degrees for highs. North winds 8-13mph with gusts to 20-25mph.
The weekend is looking dry, but there is another storm system brewing for next week that I will keep an eye on. Looks like Monday and Monday night will be the timing. Southern WI might be warm enough for a snow/rain mix, but it’s too early to tell. Let’s get through tomorrow first.
