Good evening Southern Wisconsinites! If you are traveling tonight, you might want to pay attention to this forecast. Cloudy tonight with areas of fog and freezing fog. Freezing fog can freeze to untreated roadways. There’s also a slight chance for some light snow towards morning, but mostly south of the state line. Lows tonight will drop to near 30 degrees with some upper 20s possible. NE winds 4-9mph. So just be aware if the fog starts to freeze!

 

The chance for light snow will end by mid morning and reboot again for the afternoon and evening. Again, this chance is slight and will be light. Nothing more than a dusting of snow is expected. Highs tomorrow will be in the mid 30s. North winds 7-12mph. Slight chance for light snow in the evening, but should be done before midnight. Lows will drop to the low 20s. NW winds 11-16mph.

 

More clouds than sunshine on New Year’s Day with temps in the mid 20s for highs. West winds 11-16mph. Clearing out at night and chilly with temps in the mid teens. West winds 4-9mph.

 

Sunny on Thursday with temps in the mid 20s. West winds 4-9mph. A couple clouds at night with temps in the low teens. NW winds 4-9mph.

 

Sunny and colder on Friday with temps near 20 degrees for highs. NW winds 11-16mph. Clear and cold at night with temps in the mid single digits.

 

Sunny and cold on Saturday with temps in the upper teens. A couple clouds Saturday night with temps in the single digits.

 

The storm system for Sunday into Monday is still in play, BUT the models vary A LOT! Some models take the storm WAY south and misses Southern WI completely. Some take the heavy snow through Southern WI. My gut is telling me that the colder air is going to push this storm south. We are still several days away and A LOT can and will change in the coming days. I will keep up with the latest models and update on this with every evening forecast. If you see any snow total maps out yet, just laugh at them. NO ONE knows what’s going to happen yet.
