Good evening Southern Wisconsin! Did everyone make it to work okay this morning or make it home if you work third? It was like pea soup out there. Traffic was still moving decently. There is a slight chance for some storms this evening, but mainly NW of Madison. A couple clouds overnight with temps in the upper 50s to near 60. Winds will be light.
Tomorrow is the day! The well advertised day now for a few days. We will likely see a mix of clouds and sunshine early in the day and that should warm temps into the mid 80s and possibly near 90 if we see enough sun. Dewpoints will be near or exceeding 70 degrees. This will make for a very uncomfortable day. Strong to severe storms will be possible in the afternoon to evening hours. Very large hail to 3″ is possible along with damaging winds and tornadoes. Some of those tornadoes could be strong. Mainly north and east of Madison. It all depends where they decide to fire up. Storm chances will continue into the evening, but then we should clear out overnight with temps in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. It’s going to be quite windy during the day and night.
Sunny and not as hot on Friday, but still very warm with highs in the low 80s. A couple thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon, but severe weather is not expected. SW winds 21-26mph with gusts to 35-40mph. Still a chance for some storms at night with temps cooling off to the low 50s. West winds 16-21mph with gusts to 25-30mph.
More clouds now than sunshine on Saturday with temps in the mid 60s. Slight chance for a shower. West winds 11-16mph with gusts to 20-25mph. Clearing out at night with temps in the mid 40s and NW winds 4-9mph.
