Good evening Southern Wisconsin! Some light rain is expected overnight. Some areas MIGHT squeak out a quarter inch, but generally rainfall amounts will be on the light side. The rain chances are basically for areas east of Madison. Cloudy overnight with some clearing possible towards morning. It will be a fairly warm night with temps in the mid 40s. South to west winds 11-16mph with gusts to 25-30mph.

 

Sunshine is expected for tomorrow, but I’m not sure how much. There could be some morning clouds and also afternoon clouds. 5-6 sprinkles are possible in the afternoon. It’s going to be warm with temps in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. Cloudy at night with temps in the low 30s. Winds will become light late.

 

The models are all being wonky again. The 18z NAM shows 1-4″, but mainly west of Madison. The 18z hires GEM shows pretty much nothing. The rest of the models show a dusting to an inch. So I guess we get what we get. This morning, I was sure there would be a salt shift, but not so sure anymore. Oh this is for later Saturday afternoon into the overnight hours. I guess I should have stated that before I started talking about it! OH WELL! I think some light snow showers are going to be likely no matter what for the area. Will they accumulate? Beats the hell out of me! Temps on Saturday will reach the low to mid 40s, but rapid cooling is possible in the afternoon or early evening to help change that light rain to snow. This is NOT a big storm. Just a small little clipper type system. We will make it out alive! Maybe. Regardless of what happens, the cold Arctic air will make it’s way down for the first time this season. Lows on Saturday night will dip to the low 20s. Temps on Sunday will only reach the mid 30s with a mix of clouds and sunshine. We will stay cold through Monday night, but then Tuesday we will warm up to the mid 40s. Possible 50s by mid week again.
