SAM’S TEXT FORECAST WITH SASS:

Good evening Southern Wisconsin! Back when I did the Thanksgiving week outlook we were keeping an eye on a massive snow storm that did impact Southern Wisconsin the weekend after turkey day. Fast forward about a month to Christmas week and we are talking about temps in the 40s for Christmas and really nothing to keep an eye on for this week. The temps will be mild through Saturday. Tonight the temps will dip a couple more degrees to the low 20s, then rise to near 30 degrees by morning. A few flurries or light snow showers may swing in towards morning. There’s also a chance for some very light freezing drizzle. If it remains snow, there shouldn’t be any issues. If it’s freezing drizzle we may see some minimal impacts on bridges and elevated surfaces. South winds 7-12mph.

 

That chance for light snow or mixed precip will continue until about noon tomorrow, then we may see some sprinkles in the afternoon once the temps are in the mid to upper 30s. South winds 6-11mph. Cloudy and mild tomorrow night with temps in the low 30s. Light south winds.

 

Maybe a little sunshine on Tuesday, but we should see more clouds with temps near or just above the 40 degree mark. West winds 4-9mph. Cloudy at night with temps in the mid 20s. Light winds.

 

Cloudy and mild again on Wednesday with temps in the low 40s. Light winds. Cloudy and very mild Christmas Eve night with temps in the mdi to possibly upper 30s and calm winds. Santa will be in shorts around most of the US.

 

Cloudy and very mild on Christmas with temps in the mid 40s. Light and variable winds. There’s a slight chance for some sprinkles Christmas evening, but those will be done pretty early into the night. Temps in the mid 30s.

 

Cloudy again on Friday with temps in the low 40s. Cloudy and the upper 20s at night.

 

One final warm day on Saturday with temps near 40 degrees and again we will be stuck under clouds.

 

The sunshine returns on Sunday, but we will drop back to more seasonal temps with highs near 30 degrees. 98% of Wisconsin will be snowless this week. A couple inches will be possible after Christmas for far northern areas of Wisconsin and into the UP.
