Good evening Southern Wisconsin! Happy weekend for most people! Storms are still rolling north of Madison. Flooding concerns are the main threats tonight in those areas. If you are dry right now, then the rain is done for tonight. It will remain cloudy with some fog potential. Lows tonight will only drop to the mid 60s. Winds will be light and variable.
Tomorrow morning should be dry and that should be the case until the afternoon. Once we get to the mid to late afternoon hours things will go downhill. If we can tap into some sunshine, then temps will be in the mid 80s. If it stays cloudy, then the low 80s are possible. Temps will be highly dependent on where the warm front sets up and how much sunshine we see. The warm front will also be the factor on strong to severe storms to erupt Saturday afternoon into Saturday night. The severe threat would be central WI down to northern IL. Storms will fire up along or near that front and then a line of severe storms will roll through with time. All modes of severe storms will be possible along with flooding rains. Tomorrow afternoon and evening will NOT be the time for the picnic. If you have plans outside PLEASE stay on high alert on the weather. If that warm front pops north and we get some sunshine, you better bet that the storms will be nasty. Storm chances will end by midnight and it will remain cloudy with lows in the mid 60s. SW to NW winds 7-12mph with the passage of the cold front. Below is a photo of the flood watch!
Sunday is looking much more nice. We should see a mix of clouds and sunshine with temps near 80 and less humid air. NW winds 6-11mph will create a nice breeze. Clear Sunday night with temps near 60 degrees. Winds will be calm.
Sunny and warmer on Monday with temps in the low to mid 80s and light winds. Slight chance for storms on Monday night.
Hot and humid on Tuesday with storms likely once again.
