Good evening Southern Wisconsin! Welcome to your Tuesday night folks! The heat and wind will continue tonight. Temps will only drop to the mid to upper 60s. South winds 16-21mph with gusts to 25-30mph. We actually have the AC on right now. Probably leave it on for tonight.
Cloudy tomorrow with a slight chance for showers and storms in the afternoon, but mainly NW of Madison. Not real sure what happens tomorrow night. The short range models show Madison and to the east and SE getting skunked without rain. The medium range guidance is showing far SE getting skunked and some okay rain for everyone else. The bulk of the rain from this storm should stay NW and into central WI where they could get 2-3″ of rain. Would be nice to get that around here! My guess is: far SE areas get nothing. SE WI gets 0.10-0.25″ of rain. Madison gets 0.10″ to 0.50″. NW of Madison gets 1-2″. That’s my guess. It’s going to be a sharp cutoff of substantial rain to no rain. Highs tomorrow will be in the mid 70s. SW winds 16-21mph with gusts to 35-40mph. Temps tomorrow night will get to near 60 degrees. South winds 13-18mph with gusts to 25-30mph.
Rain chances will still linger into Thursday morning. Temps will start out in the low to mid 60s in the morning, then drop to about 50 as we get into the afternoon. West winds 21-26mph with gusts to 35-45mph possible. Clouds will give way to some clearing overnight with lows in the low to mid 30s. Winds will lighten up late at night too.
Sunny and cooler on Friday with temps in the low 50s. CALM or LIGHT winds! Clear at night with temps in the mid 30s.
The first half of the weekend looks dry with Saturday. Rain likely from Saturday night into early next week. We could get some pretty decent rainfall from this. I feel pretty confident in that!
