Good evening Southern Wisconsinites! Tonight we may see some light snow move through, but mainly north and NW of Madison. It should be in the weakening stage. I am not expecting much more than a dusting to 1″. It could cause some slickery spots in the morning. Lows tonight will be near 10 degrees. Salt won’t do a whole lot with those temps.

 

Some lingering flurries are possible tomorrow morning, but then we should clear out by about noon or so. Highs in the upper teens. Increasing clouds tomorrow night with temps near 10 again. Light winds.

 

Wednesday we are watching for the potential for a significant snowstorm for Southern WI and Northern IL. Snow might be heavy at times and will begin by mid to late morning. Highs in the low to mid 20s. This will be a colder more fluffy snow. North winds 6-11mph. Snow will continue into the evening with it ending by midnight. Lows will dip to the single digits. NE to NW winds 8-13mph. Snow totals for most of the area will be 4-7″ with higher amounts near the lake and south of MKE.

 

Sunny on Thursday and chilly with temps in the mid teens. West winds 6-11mph. Clear at night with temps in the single digits BELOW 0. Light or calm winds.

 

Sunny early on Friday with temps in the mid 20s. Some afternoon snow is possible with the next potent weather maker. Snow will be likely Friday night into Saturday. Not sure on the amounts just yet. Let’s focus on one storm at a time. Colder and more dry air is coming for Sunday and into next week. Side roads are going to be a mess for awhile.
