SAM’S TEXT FORECAST:
Good morning and welcome to your Sunday! It’s going to be a pretty interesting 24-48 hours around the state. Warmth today with some rain. Rain changing to snow tonight with tumbling temps and a flash freeze is likely. So the wet spots will freeze and snow will fall on top of that. Sounds like a great morning ride to work! Some fog is also possible today and some of that could be quite dense. Rainfall up to a half inch. Temps in the low 40s. Rain changing to snow from the NW to the SE this evening. Winter Weather advisories are out for most of the area for snow and blowing snow. There’s going to be a pretty tight gradient on who gets an inch or two and who gets 3-6″. Blowing and drifting snow will be an issue from the time it starts snowing until tomorrow night. Temps will tumble into the teens tonight. West winds 21-26mph with gusts to 40-45mph. The winds will create ground blizzards making travel very difficult.
Snow will end pretty early tomorrow morning, but then blowing snow will be possible throughout the day and into the evening. Temps will only get up to about 20 degrees. NW winds 21-26mph with gusts to 40-45mph. 1-6″ of snow is possible for Southern WI. Less to the SE and more to the NW. Cloudy and cold tomorrow night with temps in the single digits. Winds will still be gusty, but not as strong. Still some patchy blowing snow possible.
More clouds than snow on Tuesday with temps in the mid 20s. West winds 7-12mph. Just a slight chance for a afternoon flurry. Cloudy with temps in the mid 20s at night as well. West winds 7-12mph.
Cloudy for New Year’s Eve day with temps in the mid 20s. Just a slight chance for some light snow in the afternoon. Cloudy and cold with light snow possible through about midnight with temps in the single digits.
Sunny, but cold for the start of 2026 on Thursday with temps in the mid teens. Clear at night with temps in the lower single digits.
Friday and through the weekend is looking dry and seasonal with temps in the mid to upper 20s.
Have a great day!
Sam
