Good evening Southern Wisconsin! I think it’s safe to say that Winter is back and will hang around for awhile. The next week is going to be very cold with more snow chances. Snow will move into the area this afternoon or evening and linger until about midnight or so. An inch or two will be possible, but the main issues will be the wind and blowing snow. Winter Weather Advisory until tomorrow morning. Low temps tonight near -5 actual air with wind chills down to -30 or colder. Winds could gust to 40mph and that could cause whiteout conditions.

 

Blowing snow and cold conditions for tomorrow with temps near 5 degrees. NW winds 18-13mph with gusts to 30-35mph. A couple clouds at night with temps near -5 again. West winds 6-11mph.

 

Tuesday is looking sunny and warmer, but still cold with temps in the low teens for highs. West winds 6-11mph. Snow is likely late tomorrow night after midnight and lingering into Wednesday morning. Another couple inches are possible. Temps in the single digits. and light winds.

 

Sunny and the mid teens on Thursday. Slight chance for snow at night with temps near 5 degrees.

 

I am watching another storm for next Friday and into the weekend. It’s too early to really get a good grip on it yet. It may or may not happen. Arctic air to return after that one.
