Good evening Southern Wisconsin! We’ve got wind, we’ve got thunderstorms, and we’ve got significant winter precipitation all possible in the next 48-72 hours. This is going to be a wild ride for sure and it starts tonight.

HIGH WIND WARNING begins at 10pm tonight. Slight chance for some rain with temps in the low to mid 30s. South winds 20-30mph with gusts to 55-60mph possible.

 

HIGH WIND WARNING goes until 4pm on Friday. Highs near 40 degrees. NW winds 26-31mph with gusts to 60mph. If you have trash or recycling pickup tomorrow and can wait until the next pickup please do that.

Cloudy tomorrow night with NW winds decreasing to 6-11mph with gusts to 30mph.

 

Cloudy for most of the day on Saturday with just a slight chance for a light snow shower. Highs in the upper 30s and NE to SE winds 6-11mph. Snow will move in at night and could be heavy at times.

Snow could change to sleet or freezing rain for the far southern areas. Lows near 30 degrees. East winds 8-13mph.

 

Sunday is a big day for weather. Heavy snow to the north and heavy wintery precip to the south. Some plain rain is possible for the far southern areas and into Northern IL. Some significant sleet and ice is possible.

Areas to the north should stay all snow. East winds 21-26mph with gusts to 35mph. Blizzard conditions possible late Sunday afternoon through Monday morning. We should all change to snow at some point at night.

Snow will be very heavy at times with another several inches possible by Monday morning. North winds 23-28mph with gusts to 40mph. Wouldn’t be shocked to see some blizzard warnings issued.

 

Snow will be likely Monday morning, but winding down by the afternoon. Blizzard conditions will continue through the day and into Monday night. School will be closed unless a dramatic shift happens.

Total snow of 5-20+” likely. The most to the north. 1-2″ of sleet with the highest to the south. Up to a quarter inch of ice is also possible with a freezing rain threat. Highs on Monday will be in the low 20s. NW winds 26-21mph with gusts to 40mph. Clearing out and getting cold at night with temps near 0. It will still be very windy. Schools may get delayed on Tuesday morning.

 

Sunny and COLD on Tuesday with temps near 20 degrees. Slight chance for snow showers at night with lows near 5 degrees.

 

Wednesday we will be back in the mid 30s and mid 40s by Thursday and warming up from there.
