SAM’S TEXT FORECAST:
Good evening Southern Wisconsin! Last Sunday night, I was talking about temps in the upper 60s for Monday. This week, I am talking about a blizzard and temps in the teens to low 20s!
If that doesn’t scream Spring in Wisconsin, then I don’t know what does LOL. Snow will really ramp up after a short law this afternoon into the early evening. Snow/sleet will be heavy to very heavy overnight.
The winds will be gusting to 40-50mph which will possibly cause some power outages in the area. The trees here in Waterloo already have ice accumulating to them. Combine that with heavy snow and winds and
some branches could be taken down and also powerlines. Temps will tumble into the teens late tonight which will make the snow accumulate faster.
Heavy snow and high winds will continue into the morning hours on Monday, but slowly wind down around noon or just after. The high winds will continue into the evening. If you are able to, please stay home tomorrow.
Some clearing is likely tomorrow night and the winds will lighten up a bit, but blowing snow is still possible overnight. Temps will tumble to near 0. Highs will only get to the low 20s tomorrow as well.
Sunny and still very cold on Tuesday with temps in the low 20s. NW winds 6-11mph. Snow is likely Tuesday night with around an inch possible. Temps in the mid teens. South winds 6-10mph.
Cloudy and warmer on Wednesday with temps near 40 degrees. Just a slight chance for a mix at night, but it will remain light. Temps in the low 30s. Light winds.
Sunny and warmer again on Thursday with temps in the mid 40s. Clouds to roll in at night with temps in the low 30s.
More clouds than sunshine on Friday and again warmer than the previous day with temps in the low 50s. Cloudy and mid 30s at night.
The weekend is looking dry with temps in the low 50s on Saturday and mid to upper 40s on Sunday.
Have a great night
Sam
