Good evening Southern Wisconsin! So we have some light precip that will move into Southern WI between 8-10pm and later for areas to the east and NE. Please keep in mind that this precip is going to be LIGHT. You won’t make up to 3″ of snow lol. I am unsure whether this precipitation is going to be light freezing rain drizzle or light snow. The HRRR suggests liquid and the NAM suggests a dusting to half inch of snow. Regardless, please allow some extra time for travel tomorrow morning on those untreated roads. Temps tonight will be in the mid 20s. East to SW winds 6-11mph. Snowfall up to a half inch OR a light glaze of ice is possible tonight.
Cloudy tomorrow morning, but then the sunshine should pop out and warm us into the mid 30s. West winds will start out okay in the morning, but then increase to 18-23mph in the afternoon with gusts to 30-40mph. Clear tomorrow night with temps near 10 degrees. NW winds 16-21mph with gusts to 30-35mph.
Friday and Friday night should be dry. Highs in the upper 20s with light winds during the day with a little sun possible. Cloudy at night with temps in the upper teens. Light winds at night. Slight chance for flurries towards morning.
Our next weather maker comes in on Saturday afternoon into Saturday overnight. Right now, the heaviest banding of snow is going to set up in Central WI with light to moderate accumulations around it. We are still 2 days out, so some fluctuations in the path are possible. Big shifts? Probably not. I expect most of Southern WI to get 1-4 from this ATM. Lightest amounts towards the WI/IL border with heaviest amounts north of Madison. Again, things can change and I will keep a close eye on this.
